Agriculture
Broadacre farming is the primary industry of the Shire, with a variety of crops (wheat, canola, lupins, oats etc) and stock (sheep and cattle) produced. The farming calendar runs from March - May (seeding), shearing (July - September), lambing and calving (August - October) and harvest (October - December).
Mining
The largest talc mine in the Southern Hemisphere is situated 10km east of Three Springs. The talc mine employs local residents in Three Springs, and the benefits to our community is considerable.
