Three Springs Community Hall Centre
At Councils May Forum it was agreed to submit for public comment to change the name of the Community Recreation Centre to that of the Three Springs Community Hall. It is anticipated this will elevate the situation of the building confused at being located at the Three Springs Recreastion Gound where football, hockey, netball are played.
Street and Rural Road Numbering
Council is currently investigating a set of standards for both Town Street and Rural Road numbering. At the present time the Three Springs Townsite has already been street numbered, with the rural roads still to be numbered. The purpose of the numbering will assist the emergency services, Police and just simply identify your property when you have visitors.
As part of this process Council is 'seeking expressions of interest' from any Local Organisation that are prepared to take this on as a fundraiser for their organisation.
Old Historic Well - Morawa Road
Council is proposing to increase the promotion of the Old Historic Well and the Old Hospital building to the east of the well. The well was filled in some years ago and information is sought regarding the filling in of the well. Any anecdotal history on the Historic Well and Old Hospital would be appreciated.
Local Community Skills
Funding is to be sought to undertake a survey of skills within the Three Springs Community. This will complement a mentoring proposal that is under consideration in the Three Springs Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan 2008.
Water Wise Gardens
As part of Councils Budget process it will consider commencing a plan to make the gardens at its Staff residences to be water wise.
Additional Pedestrian Rail Crossing
An approach is to be made to WestNet Rail requesting a second pedestrian crossing be considered at the southern end of town off Murcott Street.
Sale of Piano's - Three Springs Community Hall
Council is offering the purchase of Beale and Ronisch Pianos which are located in the Hall in an 'as is where is' basis. Purchase offers should be in a sealed envelope marked 'Piano Purchase' and delivered to the Shire Office. Inspection of the pianos can be arranged with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Henry Adamski.
Offers to be submitted by 11 July, 2008.

Yakabout Advertising
The Yakabout is an important advertising and information avenue for our local community to find out what is happening.
Placing an advert is easy, you can e-mail - yakabout@threesprings.wa.gov.au or fax 9954 1183 the Shire. All adverts are to be into the Shire Office by 4.15pm on Friday afternoons, with the exception of sporting notices which have an 11.00am deadline on Monday mornings.
