Banners In The Terrace - Upper Primary School

As one of the State's largest community arts projects, the very popular "Banners in the Terrace Competition" is widely acknowledged as being the most colourful and vibrant city display.  In 2008 the banners will be flown along the St Georges and Adelaide Terraces from Sunday 27 July to Saturday 9 August, 2008 as part of the staging of the annual Local Government Convention.

On Thursday 31 July, 2008 the winners were announced for the various sections of the "Banners in the Terrace Competition" with the Three Springs Primary School being awarded Best Upper Primary.

The Shire provided a banner and paints to the Three Springs Primary School to create a piece of artwork for the Shire to send down to be displayed in the "Banners in the Terrace Competition".

The Shire of Three Springs would like to express its thanks to the Principal, Mark Gledhill and the staff and students of the Primary School for their willingness and enthusiasm in creating this wonderful banner.  You have done a fantastic job which you should be very proud of.

The banner will be displayed in the garden north of the Shire Office when it returns from Perth.
